Buildings

There are two options when it comes to hard core Oldhammer buildings.

Warhammer Townscape

Card buildings from either origional sets or PDF print outs stuck onto card.

  1. For me a great deal of the feels of oldhammer comes from Townscape style buildings.
I have only recently gotten back into 25mm WFB and am slowly making the townscape models from card, wood, foam, clay etc.
    Much satisfaction is being had.

    1. That sounds like a great project Mike, Townscape made into proper robust scenery.

I have a longterm aim to go through all the Modelling Workshop builds from fences to houses to a river. After that I could well imagine I follow in your footsteps.

I tried a great many of the White Dwarf builds as a youngster (about four decades ago!) as miniatures were expensive and hard to find in shops where I lived but card, foam, plyboard and balsa wood were in ready supply.

    2. I only got as far as the warhammer cottage build. I'd be very interested in seeing the others being built by others. Doing the others would make a nice linked blog project too. (:

    3. I thought that cottage was great, it was a good reminder that inexpensive and yet awesome scenery should be an essential element of Oldhammer.

    4. Ha Ha, the cottage was the first one I had a go at.
I figured it would be a simple building to start scratchbuilding in 25mm with.
It was a good one to learn with, but as happens, it escalated!!

The townscape stuff looked like proper buildings, non of this spikez and skullz decorated nonsense.
